Animals were given their senses in order to survive. Since their survival is critical to ours, I do not think pigs in particular should be spared from slaughter. However, let’s say the world did stop killing pigs. What could they accomplish with this hidden intelligence that is beneficial to the rest of the earth? Or, would it ease some tensions to just wait until they die naturally to consume the remains? It is simply a moral issue. All I know is that turkey bacon is definitely better than regular bacon so that should solve that….unless of course, the turkey has some brainpower…
